Posted 18 November 2002
A FREE SEMINAR for farmers that will focus on the efficient use of feed on dairy farms will take place at Harper Adams University College, Shropshire, this week. The seminar, titled "Feeding for Profit", is sponsored by the Milk Development Council (MDC) and takes place at 10:30am on Wednesday, November 20, 2002.

Amongst the speakers will be Professor David Beever, Director of CEDAR at Reading University, who will look at managing the high yielding Holstein for profitable milk production and longevity. He will also consider the reproductive performance of high merit cows and discuss ways of improving fertility.
Dr Jonathan Blake, Technical Secretary for the Feed into Milk rationing system, will explain how the system can be used to improve the nutrition of your cows and this will be followed by a short session on the use of MDC CD-ROM software.
